Greeneville, TN — Greene County Mayor Kevin C. Morrison announces that the Greene County Building and Zoning Department will be closing on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at noon and all day on Friday, October 3, 2025, to facilitate its relocation to the new Greene County Administration Center located at 401 Takoma Avenue, Suite 102, Greeneville, TN 37743.
Beginning Monday, October 6, 2025, at 8:00 am, the department will operate normal hours from its new location on the first floor, Suite 102, of the Greene County Administration Center. This move marks a significant step in improving accessibility and service delivery for Greene County residents. The department’s phone number will remain the same at 423-798-1724.
The Building and Zoning Department will be the sole occupant of the new facility until October 20, 2025, when the Greene County Clerk’s Office is scheduled to join them.
Mayor Morrison stated, “This transition reflects our commitment to modernizing county services and creating a more efficient experience for the public. We appreciate the community’s patience during this brief closure and look forward to welcoming residents to the new center.”
For questions or assistance during the transition, residents are encouraged to contact the Mayor’s Office at 423-798-1766 or visit the Greene County website for updates.
