Long time Greeneville educator Fannye M. Jones has passed away. She was 106. Most recently she had been living with her daughter in Greensboro, North Carolina.
After moving to Greeneville, she taught at George Clem School where her husband John J. Jones also taught and coached basketball and football.
Following desegregation, she taught at Greeneville Junior High, later Greeneville Middle School until her retirement in 1984 after a total of 43 years as an educator.
