Double Murder Suspect Indicted By Greene County Grand Jury

A Greene County double murder suspect has been indicted.

36 year old Jessie Wilhoit is charged with two counts of first degree murder of 60-year-old Cassandra T. Wilhoit and 68-year-old Ray Allen Wilhoit on October 25th of last year.  They were killed with a machete at the Hartman Lane residence where the three lived.  Her body was found inside the residence, his body was found in the driveway.

He was indicted on Tuesday by a Greene County Grand Jury.

Wilhoit remains jailed at the Detention Center on $2 million dollar bond.

  • Deanna Stockton – Tyne Gray Road, Afton – Driving on a suspended license, violation of financial responsibility
  • Kira Burgess – Apple Street, Greeneville – Driving on a suspended license (x2)
  • Phillip A. Campbell – Clear Springs Road, Limestone – Theft of property valued at over $2,500
  • Tony L. Matthews – Horton Highway, Greeneville – Possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended
  • Tyler Holland – Shiloh Road, Greeneville – Driving on revoked or suspended license
  • John Edward Jeffers – Old Jonesborough Road, Chuckey – Driving under the influence (x2)
  • Wesley C. Tipton – Dunbar Road, Chuckey – Driving on suspended license (x3)
  • James E. Talkington III – Flame Leaf Drive, Bristol, Va. – Driving under the influence (x2), possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Skylar Lambert – Cub Hollow Road, Pound, Va. – Possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia
  • Valerie Anderson – Woodcrest Drive, Greeneville – Domestic assault
  • Christopher Freeman – Brobeck Road, Limestone – DUI (x2), driving on revoked license (x2)
  • Daveen Dotson – Rheatown Cemetery Road, Chuckey – DUI, driving on a suspended license, possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia
  • Kiffer McClanahan – Raders Sidetrack Road, Greeneville – Reckless evading
  • Clifford Vermette – North Water Folk Road – DUI (x2), driving on a suspended license, driving under the influence (x4)
  • Dustin S. Norton – Painter Creek Road, Chuckey – Evading arrest, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver
  • Savannah Barber – Dry Creek Road, Jonesborough – Possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver
  • Jordon C. Johnson – Twin Barns Road, Greeneville – Evading arrest, child endangerment, possession of a prohibited weapon
  • Josiah Berry – Brant Avenue, Sebring, Fla. – Aggravated assault (x2), evading arrest, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver
  • Jamison Broyles – North Main Street, Bulls Gap – Resisting arrest, public intoxication
  • Jessica R. Jordan – Horse Creek Park Road, Greeneville – Financial exploitation of an elderly adult, theft of property valued at over $1,000 but less than $2,500
  • Darryl Colyer – Rambo Road, Greeneville – Theft of property valued at over $2,500
  • Jessie L. Stills – Cherrywood Road, Knoxville – Theft over $1,000
  • Gary W. Roberts – Asheville Highway, Greeneville – Evading arrest, reckless endangerment
