A man was arrested Saturday night for drug violations following a traffic stop.
Around 10:40 Saturday night, police saw a vehicle driving on East Andrew Johnson Highway with a front headlight out. The vehicle was stopped in a convenience store parking lot, and the driver was identified as Chad B. Dunbar of Limestone.
Dunbar was detained after it was shown he had two active warrants out of Washington County. Dunbar denied having anything illegal in the car, however a K9 officer gave a positive alert on the car’s driver door.
During the search of the vehicle, a set of scales was found, as well as an eyeglass case containing a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine, weighing approximately 8 grams.
Due to the weight of the crystal substance, the Drug Task Force seized the vehicle. Dunbar was transported to Greene County Detention Center charged with driving while in possession of meth, drug paraphernalia, and headlight law.
