ROCK HILL, S.C. — Tusculum University sophomore attack Luke Bowen has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending April 19, the SAC office announced Monday.

Bowen had a pair of 10-point games as the Pioneers closed out the 2025 season with wins over Thomas More (26-13) on Wednesday and Emory & Henry (20-8) on Saturday. He is the first Pioneer to earn SAC Player of the Week honors since Wesley Phillips in April, 2022.

Against Thomas More, Bowen had three goals and a career-high seven assists, which are the second-most in a game in program history. In the win over Emory & Henry, Bowen had four goals and six assists for his third 10-point game of the season.

The Edmonton, Alberta native set single-season program records with 45 assists and 75 points, and was third on the team with 30 goals. Bowen had four points or more in 11 of the Pioneers’ 16 games, including six in a row to end the season. He currently ranks second in the SAC in assists and points.

The Pioneers finished the 2025 season with a 5-11 record, an improvement of three wins from 2024. Tusculum set single-season team records for ground balls (532), caused turnovers (131) and clears (327).
