Plans are being finalized for the 53rd Annual Holiday Bazaar of the GFWC of Tennessee Greeneville Woman’s Club, set for Saturday, Nov. 2, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday, Nov. 3, noon to 5:00 pm. The event will take place at Hal Henard Elementary School, 425 E. Vann Rd., and the theme is “Santa’s Workshop.”
There will be 113 booths, featuring more than 140 craftsmen; and merchandise will include everything from clothing and wooden items, to holiday decorations and paintings, from jewelry to coasters, and much more.
There will be an array of food available – from hotdogs and Italian Sausages to homemade chicken and dumplings and beans and cornbread, and from hot fudge cake to lemon bars.
This year’s Woman’s Club ornament that can be personalized is a handmade Santa’s hat, available in four colors, and will sell for $5.00.
Cost to the event is only $5.00 and that is for the two days. Children six and under get in free. The first 1,000 attendees will get free shopping bags with three bags featuring $100 gift certificates from Broyles and selected other bags will feature gifts from some of the vendors participating.
All monies realized from the event go back into the community in the areas of arts and culture, civic involvement and outreach, education and libraries, environment and health and wellness.
