The Greene County Commission will hold its October meeting next Monday night at the Greene County Courthouse.
On the agenda is a resolution that would allow a waiver on all building permit fees associated with the repair or replacement of structures damaged by Hurricane Helene for a period of 90 days, through January 13.
Also on the agenda is consideration for the county to purchase property at the Hal Henard Convenience Center from the County Board of Education and the Town of Greeneville for $100,000. Commissioners will also vote on funding for EMS to purchase three fully-equipped convalescent vans at a total cost of up to $600,000.
In addition, a request for alcohol sales at the Appalachian Renaissance Faire event on Doc Hawkins Road in November will be considered by the commissioners.
The Greene County Commission meets Monday, October 21 at 6 p.m. in the upstairs courtroom at the Greene County Courthouse.
