According to a press release issued this afternoon, the Greene County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man following an ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) investigation.
41-year-old Marcus Earnest Johnson of Greeneville was arrested on Wednesday, July 24 for sexual exploitation of a minor. Johnson is currently being held at the Greene County Detention Center under a $125,000 bond.
The investigation began after a CyberTip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children concerning the upload of child sexual abuse material. The investigation led to a search warrant being executed at Johnson’s residence.
Johnson is currently being held at the Greene County Detention Center under a $125,000 bond. He is set for arraignment in Greene County Sessions Court Friday at 8:30 AM.
