The number of people who need blood donated in the United States increases every second. That’s why if you can and are eligible, you should consider donating blood and help save a life.
Marsh Regional Blood Center will have blood drives in Greene County this month at the following locations:
- John Deere – 1630 Hal Henard Road: June 18th from 12-6 PM
- Battle of the Badges – 211 North Main Street : June 19th from 10 AM to 5 PM
- Greeneville West Campus MOB Office – 438 East Vann Road: June 20th from 12-6 PM
- Greene County Drug – 906 Tusculum Boulevard: June 28th from 9 AM to 3 PM
- West Greene High School – 275 West Greene Drive: June 28th from 10 AM to 4 PM
All donors receive a free t-shirt. The majority of mobile drives are designed for walk-ins; however, you can schedule an appointment by visiting marshblood.com. Giving blood is simple and the entire process takes less than an hour to complete. Make sure to check requirements before you give blood.
To donate blood with Marsh, you must:
- Be at least 17 years old
- Weigh at least 110 pounds or more
- Eat a well-balanced meal within four to six hours of your donation
- Be in generally good health on the day that you donate
- If you currently have a cold, sore throat, fever, flu, fever, blisters, or are taking antibiotics, you won’t be able to donate.
