An Afton man was charged and arrested with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated domestic assault on Thursday near Carolina Drive.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home because of a warrant check for Erick Myers, who reportedly choked someone with a shirt to the point that they lost consciousness. Myers allegedly choked the same victim again with another shirt before leaving on Wednesday.
According to the report, Myers returned to the residence on Thursday afternoon and held the victim in the bathtub. Myers allegedly ran hot water over the victim in attempt to burn them. The victim was reportedly held captive in the bathroom for about an hour before he left the residence.
Deputies responded to a home on Carolina Drive and could see Myers Through a window but did not get a response and he refused to open the door. After getting a key from the Property Manager, deputies found Myers on a couch and took him into custody.
