Two additional candidates have filed a nominating petition for the Town of Greeneville Municipal Election on August 1, 2024, according to the Greene County Election Commission.
Doug Debusk is running for the Water Commissioner position and Matt Hensley is running for the Council Member position in Ward 2.
Tim Teague also filed to run for Council Member in Ward 2. Greeneville Mayor Cal Doty recently filed a nominating petition to run for the position of Mayor again.
State Representative David Hawk has filed to run for a 12th term in the Tennessee House of Representatives. He will be on the Republican ballot for the August 1 State Primary election.
The qualifying deadline for all candidates in the August primary election, including independent candidates for federal and state offices, as well as non-partisan municipal candidates in the Town of Baileyton, Town of Greeneville, and Town of Mosheim, is 12 PM on Thursday, April 4.
