A North Carolina man was arrested with public intoxication Sunday afternoon after reportedly throwing food and cursing at employees.
The Greeneville Police responded to a disturbance at Bojangles on the 3200 block of the Andrew Johnson Highway and found the suspect Todd Newland Pope. Pope was located sitting in the corner of Bojangles with his food and drink on the floor. He allegedly had slurred speech, could not stay steady while sitting, and when asked to step outside he had trouble walking and staying balanced.
An odor of alcohol was detected and due to his actions, officers believed Pope to be a danger to himself and others. He was arrested for public intoxication.
