Two people were injured this morning in a wreck on Kingsport Highway near the Greene/Washington County line.
The wreck occurred around 10:45 AM when a tractor-trailer driven by 40-year-old Cleminta Blocker of Florida was traveling south and failed to maintain its lane. The vehicle then struck a GMC Terrain driven by 54-year-old Teressa Mcamis in an offset head-on manner in the northbound lane.
Both vehicles came to an uncontrolled final rest on the west side of the roadway.
Mcamis and a 10-year-old passenger were injured in the wreck. The juvenile was reportedly airlifted to the UT Medical Center, but the injures did not appear to be life threatening. Blocker and a passenger in the tractor-trailer were not injured. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report, charges against Blocker are pending.
