A man is wanted for stealing a vehicle Wednesday evening after he had been given a ride.
The victim picked up the suspect, who was identified in the Greeneville Police Department report, and the man asked her to take him to get some skoal. The victim said she did not have money to buy it and the suspect allegedly began punching her in the arm and face. The suspect took the victim’s cell phone due to her attempting to call 911 and also ripped her purse from her hands. The victim then exited the vehicle and attempted to wave down a passer-by for help. The suspect then reportedly jumped in the driver’s seat, grabbed two debit cards, and threw her purse out the window. He then sped off going outbound on East McKee Street.
Warrants were issued for the suspect for domestic assault, motor vehicle theft, interference with 911 calls, and two counts of theft under $1,000.
