A warrant was taken out for a man Wednesday after he went into a store, stole a pack of gum, and threatened an employee once he was confronted.
According to the report, the alleged suspect who was named in the report, went into a gas station store at 860 West Andrew Johnson Highway after 12:30 PM and stole a pack of Trident gum. The employee confronted the man as he was walking out. The man stated, “all I have is this” and pulled out a rock out of his pocket.
He allegedly threatened the employee and said he’d bust the employee upside the head with the rock. This placed the victim in fear of a possible assault. The Greeneville Police Department was called and issued a warrant for the suspect.
