A man was arrested Tuesday with simple assault, aggravated burglary, and public intoxication after entering a home on the 2400 block of Horse Creek Park Road.
According to the report, Alan R. Kistler of Chuckey was seen on a Ring camera taking packages off the porch. One of the victims who was not home at the time saw the suspect and demanded he leave and drop the packages, but Kistler refused and went inside the home.
A resident inside heard the Ring alarm and saw Kistler in the kitchen. He asked him to leave but the suspect refused again stating he lived in the home for 20+ years. The suspect had to be pulled out the house but tried reentering several times. There was reportedly a struggle between the two and Kistler scratched the victim’s arm, drawing blood.
Once deputies arrived around 6 PM they could smell alcohol coming from Kistler and he appeared intoxicated. He told officers he lived in the home for 24 years but after further investigation, the suspect’s address came back to a residence on Old Forge Road.
