According to the National Weather Service, ongoing drought conditions combined with low afternoon relative humidity values will lead to elevated fire risk today.
Relative humidity values will drop into the teens to middle 20s across much of the area this afternoon. Winds will be northeast at 5 to 15 mph. High pressure will remain across the area through Thursday producing dry conditions. Low afternoon relative humidity is anticipated throughout much of the week, which will lead to an elevated fire risk.
