Press Release from Greeneville Police Department
On October 30, 2023, the Greeneville Police Department responded to a report of a shooting victim at Greeneville Community Hospital.
During the investigation, it was discovered that the shooting took place in the 300 block of North Loretta Street in Greeneville at around 6:00 p.m. The victim, a 20-year-old white male, was transported to the hospital by a private vehicle. He was last reported to be in stable condition.
Authorities have identified 22-year-old Nathaniel Crum as the suspect. Currently, investigators are seeking the public’s help in locating Crum. He is 6’3” tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds. He could be traveling in a White Chevy full-sized lifted pickup truck or a white Toyota Camry with a temporary tag.
Crum has an arrest warrant on file for Attempted 1st Degree Murder and is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who knows of his location or sees Crum is asked to call 911 or their local law enforcement. They may also contact Detective Billy Christy at the Greeneville Police Department (423) 783-2803. The Greeneville Police Department is working with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation in this investigation.
