Drought conditions continue through all of Tennessee, and have intensified in the southern part of the state according to the U.S. Drought Monitor report this week.
All of the state, including Greene County and the rest of upper East Tennessee, are in a minimum of abnormally dry conditions, or level D0. Nearly all of the state west of Knoxville is at level D1 Moderate Drought, with severe drought level D2 for all areas south of Nashville and west of Knoxville.
The D3 level Extreme Drought can be found in the counties surrounding Chattanooga, along with the counties adjacent to the Tennessee River in the southwestern part of the state.
