A Mosheim man reported that items were removed from the home of his late mother sometime this weekend, according to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.
The man said that he was at the home on Carpenters Chapel Road on Thursday, and that when he returned on Sunday he discovered that the back door had been kicked in and the house had been ransacked.
Among the missing items were two sets of washer and dryers, three china cabinets, dishware and tools. The man believes someone has been staying at the home since he discovered soap, canned goods and peanut butter that had not been there on Thursday.
Total value of the missing items is $1,600 according to the report.
