A vehicle fire was reported yesterday morning around 5 AM on Bill Martin Road in Afton.
The victim told the Greene County Sheriff’s Department that he started his truck and went inside to wake up his kids. He then noticed his truck was not on. After opening the vehicle door he stated it was fully engulfed inside.
The victim is not aware of what could have caused the fire, although according to the report he stated the car did “run off the road” on Monday. No injuries were reported. The County Highway Department responded to the scene and a load of salt was brought due to water freezing on the roadway.
