An accident Friday afternoon on the Baileyton Road, has left one person dead. This, the second fatality of 2023.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol’s preliminary report, a Ford Thunderbird driven by 62-year-old Mark McLain, was traveling south on Baileyton Road. McLain reportedly attempted to make a left turn on Mullsberry Road and collided with the 2011 Buick which was pushed off of the roadway.
The driver of the Buick, Lisa Fisher, was killed from the collision. A passenger in the Buick, 49-year-old Scott Fisher was also injured.
The two-vehicle wreck occurred around 12:20 PM. The Greene County Sheriff’s Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Greene County EMS and the United Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene. According to the THP report, charges are pending in the accident.
This is the second vehicle fatality reported for Greene County, in just the first week of 2023. The other occurred Wednesday in a single-vehicle accident on the Erwin Highway.
