Officers responded to a call of Destructive/Damage of Property at a business on Tusculum Boulevard Saturday.
The officer spoke with the victim who stated a man and woman entered the Xfinity store in the Commons and attempted to return a cell phone. The couple was told they could not return the phone, and became upset.
As the couple exited the business, the victim reported they both “slung open” the door causing it to break. The victim reportedly got the license plate of the truck the couple left in, and was advised of private prosecution.
Repairs to the door were estimated at between $1500 and $2500.
