Police investigaed a crash on Industrial Road Saturday just after 3:00 PM.
Officers arrived on Industrial Road at East Andrew Johnson Highway. A Chrysler Town and Country car was heading north and apparently veered into the opposite lane. The car, driven by Amanda Sinard, struck a Dodge pickup truck, driven by Mark Carter, head-on.
Carter had to be extricated from the vehicle, and was transported to a hospital by EMS with possible major injuries. A passenger in the truck was reported to have suffered minor injuries.
According to the report, Sinard could not recount anything that happened before, during, or after the crash. She received minor injuries. A passenger in the car, Laura McBurnett, was transported to a hospital by EMS with suspected major injuries.
Both vehicles were disabled and towed from the scene. The investigation is continuing.
