A Greeneville woman reported the fraudulent use of her EBT card on Wednesday.
The Ross Boulevard woman told the Greeneville Police Department she had $516 on her EBT card at the beginning of the day on Wednesday. She bought a few items between 11:30 and noon at a convenience store. Shortly afterward, she went to another store and the card was declined.
The victim called the EBT office and was told two transactions were made on her card totaling almost $500 from Brooklyn, New York around noon Wednesday.
According to the police report, the victim will provide EBT statements containing the transaction details.
