A Greeneville woman reported Monday that she’s paid a total of $450 after getting messaged on Facebook and being told she would receive a grant.
The victim from the 1100 of Tusculum Boulevard spoke with the Greeneville Police Department Monday afternoon and said that people have been messaging her about giving her a grant. But the victim was told they needed to receive money from her first.
According to the report, the woman paid $450 since December 6th and sent the money through Facebook in the form of an Apple card. No further information was provided.
