A warrant was taken out for a man who hit a woman with his vehicle and left the scene Monday.
Officers received a call around midnight regarding a woman that was unconscious lying on the ground on Bohannon Avenue. A witness was across the street when the incident happened and saw the woman get hit. The victim stated she and the driver were drinking and got into an argument before he allegedly tried to drag her out the vehicle.
According to the report, the victim went for help but when she returned the suspect backed out of the driveway striking her. She reportedly was knocked unconscious, hitting her head when she fell to the ground. An Aggravated Domestic Assault Warrant was taken out for the man.
He was served later that morning before 5 AM on Forest Street and was taken into custody.
