A Greeneville woman was arrested with a DUI and child endangerment yesterday afternoon, after the Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to a crash on the Asheville Highway.
Deputies arrived at the scene of the crash after 6 PM and spoke with the driver, Amy Norton of Roaring Fork Road. According to the report 3 small children were in the vehicle at that time, but no injuries were reported. Norton was allegedly unsteady on her feet, had slurred speech and could not stay still.
She was placed into custody after failing sobriety tests and arrested with a DUI second offense and a child endangerment felony.
