A woman was arrested for public intoxication after she went inside of an abandoned house on Friday.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded around 2:00 PM to Persimmon Lane on the report of a suspicious person.
Chayna D. Waddell of Dulaney Road was reportedly standing on the porch of an abandoned house knocking on the door.
When deputies arrived on the scene, Waddell could be heard talking inside the house. She had gone in through a back door and was found sitting on a bed talking to herself.
Waddell was escorted out of her house. She was reportedly jittery and incoherent while deputies attempted to talk to her. When asked if she used any illegal substance, she was inconsistent with her answers.
Waddell was taken into custody for public intoxication.
