A woman was arrested at the Greeneville Community Hospital Emergency Room during the Noon hour on Thursday.
Greeneville Police say Kaitlynn Flowers (address listed as unknown on the report), assaulted three members of the nursing staff.
While being detained at the hospital for a psychological evaluation, she attempted to leave several times and then became combative. One nurse was punched in the nose and right eye, leaving a small cut. She also was slapped on the arm and chest, leaving a hand print. Another was struck by a backhand in the mouth, while another nurse was slapped on the arm and chest.
The nursing staff and security guard, using handcuffs, were then able to detain Flowers until police arrived.
With nothing found to be medically wrong with the woman by the ER physician, she was taken to the detention center on three counts of Assault on a First Responder/Nurse.
