A Mosheim woman was arrested on Tuesday after she was found passed out in a vehicle at Hardin Park.
An officer with the Greeneville Police Department responded to the park around 1:20 PM on the report of a man and woman passed out in a car for at least 45 minutes.
The man in the driver’s seat was given a field sobriety test and did not show any signs of impairment. The passenger, Lorreisa Scalf of West Andrew Johnson Highway, was asked to step from the vehicle and appeared to be concealing something in her clothing.
A K9 officer showed a positive alert on the vehicle. A baggie containing a small amount of heroin was found inside of a Bible case. Scalf reportedly admitted it belonged to her. A pill bottle was retrieved from her clothing that had 2 grams of methamphetamine and 3 and 1/2 Xanax tablets inside.
Nearby Hal Henard Elementary School and Greeneville Middle School were both in session, with children on the playground at Hal Henard at the time.
Scalf was arrested for manufacture, delivery, sale or possession of meth, possession of schedule 1 and 4 drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia, all within a school zone.
