The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service in Morristown, scattered rain and snow showers will likely develop through Saturday.
The best chances of light snowfall accumulations are over higher elevations. A winter weather advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. Saturday, with up to two inches of snowfall possible for the mountainous areas of Greene County.
The lower elevations of Greene County can also expect possible winter weather this weekend, with a light dusting of snow possible. The National Weather Service reports that any snow in the lower elevations of Greene County will melt quickly, due to higher temperatures this weekend.
