Two people were arrested following a traffic stop on Snapps Ferry Road Wednesday afternoon.
An officer with the Greeneville Police Department stopped the vehicle around 12:30 PM at the Quick Stop Market for a window tint violation. As the vehicle was turning into the parking lot, the driver appeared to be attempting to hide something.
The driver was identified as Dustin Cutshall of Asheville Highway, who was known to have an active failure to appear warrant out of Greene County. He was asked to step out of the vehicle and a bong was seen in the driver’s door. The officer asked Cutshall for consent to search the vehicle and he admitted to having drug paraphernalia. He pulled a scale out of his pocket, along with an undetermined amount of cash.
A search of the vehicle produced a box in the center console with baggies, syringes and glass pipes. Two revolvers were also found, along with 16 grams of methamphetamine, one loose round of ammunition, and one bullet inside a revolver.
Cutshall was charged with possession a firearm during a felony, unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon, driving while in possession of meth, felony manufacture, delivery, sale or possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended or revoked license, and window tint violation.
A passenger in the car, Lorreisa Scalf of West Andrew Johnson Highway, was charged with possession of a legend drug without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia. A backpack on the passenger floorboard had a container with half of an unknown pill and a set of scales.
