The National Weather Service has a Wind Advisory in effect from 7:00 AM until 7 PM tonight for the Southern Appalachians. Northwest wind gusts up to 45 mph possible.
Flurries or light snow possible across southwest Virginia and northeast Tennessee later today. Very light accumulation, if any; a few tenths of an inch across the highest elevations.
Accumulating mountain snowfall might be possible Wednesday into Thursday. It was too early to really forecast, plus the Weather Service stated that as far as a potential weekend event, it was also highly uncertain at this time.
