A well know Greene County businessman has died after an apparent fall from a deck under construction.
Walter Johnson, of Ernest Road, Chuckey, died after falling approximately 12 feet while working on a deck at his house Friday afternoon.
Johnson served as a Chairman of the Board of Heritage Community Bank, as a trustee of Tusculum University, and as a pilot helped provide air transportation for people needing medical treatment through a program called Angel Flight.
Heritage Community Bank President Tommy Burns said that Johnson provided leadership and direction to heritage community bank since its formation.
Johnson was one of the original directors as well as one of the founding investors of the bank and Burns said he will be sorely missed.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Kiser Rose Hill Funeral Home.
