Weigel’s will be returning to Greeneville.
Plans for development call for the Relax Inn at the corner of Serral Drive and East Andrew Johnson Highway to be demolished and a new 6,605 square foot convenience store and gas canopy to be constructed on the property.
Plans will be presented to the Greeneville Municipal Planning Commission meeting Tuesday at 9:30 am in the G. Thomas Love Boardroom at the GEA Building.
The Relax Inn at 121 Serral Drive, originally opened as Charray Inn in 1984 but has undergone several name changes since that time.
Weigel’s first came to Greeneville at the Tusculum Boulevard and Justis Drive intersection near then Laughlin Hospital before vacating the location a few years later.

Black Iron Pizza will be opening a location at 204 Asheville Highway.
The plot plan to be addressed by the planning commission on Tuesday calls for a site layout, parking and access for a restaurant in an existing building used for retail in the recent past.
