Police responded Friday to a “disturbance in progress” at Cox Circle around 9:00 PM.
A couple had been arguing, which escalated in the evening to where the subject, Jason Foshie, reportedly made threats against the victim. The victim locked herself and a juvenile in a bedroom and called 9-1-1.
According to the report, the victim stated that Foshie had a history of mental illness and was frequently paranoid and stated he heard voices. Officers spoke with Foshie and when he was asked to turn around and place his hands behind his back, he ran and refused to follow officers’ commands. After a foot pursuit, Foshie was taken into custody at a nearby parking lot. A glass pipe with drug residue was located in Foshie’s front pocket, upon arrival at the detention center.

Officers arrested a man Friday evening outside a business in the 1700 block of East Andrew Johnson Highway.
Jonathan Dixson of North Irish Street was taken into custody after he entered a store around 7:00 PM and was talking out of his head, according to witnesses.
According to the report, Dixson told officers he was being harassed and watched by drones. A check showed Dixson to have a revoked driver’s license for DUI. He admitted to driving to the store and was in the driver’s seat with the keys in the ignition. A fake child’s badge was in view on the dash, and Dixson was found to have a baton in his back pocket, both of which he reported said he kept for protection.
