An arrest was made this morning following a report of shoplifting at Walgreens.
Around midnight this morning, police responded to a report of shoplifting at Walgreens on East Andrew Johnson Highway.
While in route, officers were told the suspect had gotten into a black pickup truck. From video footage, the suspect was identified as Lindsay Lane of Cumberland Drive, who had an active warrant for Violation of Probation.
Deputies located the truck on the Asheville Highway. According to the report, officers made contact with Lane who admitted to taking the items. A search recoverd all of the items, valued at over $500.
Lane was taken into custody for the warrant and is additionally charged with shoplifting.
