A woman said that numerous electronics were removed from her home by a man who was supposed to be housesitting for her.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department spoke with the victim at her home on Hillcrest Street early Thursday morning and were told that she had come home around 3:30 Tuesday afternoon and discovered that the front door was unlocked and the items were missing.
The victim believes that the man who was supposed to be watching her home was responsible for the theft, along with two acquaintances. Among the missing items were an XBox game console, a laptop computer, a Playstation 4, several DVD box sets, a number of video games and assorted tools, along with a modem, memory cards and a cell phone.
The estimated value of the stolen items was approximately $2,600 according to the report from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.
