An employee of 1st Choice Rental Outlet on East Andrew Johnson Highway reported his vehicle stolen from the parking lot of the store on Monday night.
The man told the Greeneville Police Department he left his Ford SUV in the parking lot after he got off work. He and his wife went to Johnson City in her car around 6:30 PM. When they got back to the parking lot around 11:00 PM, the vehicle was missing. The victim said he left the key fob in the vehicle and it was unlocked. The SUV is valued at $20,000.
Around 2:30 this morning, the Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to a vehicle fire on Speedwell Church Road. It appeared as though it could possibly be the victim’s stolen SUV. The vehicle was towed and a hold was placed on it.
