Vehicle parts were reported stolen from a truck on a Horace Bitner Road property on Thursday.
The victim told the Greene County Sheriff’s Department he was contacted by a person who needed parts from his truck. The victim told the suspect he was out of town and he would contact him about it when he returned. While the victim was still out of town, the suspect reportedly went to the property and removed the taillights and a coil from the vehicle.
A witness said he saw the suspect’s vehicle and saw him removing items from the truck. He did not intervene due to thinking the suspect has permission to remove the parts.
The possible suspect was identified in the report. The stolen items were valued at $100.
