A vehicle fire was reported yesterday about 4:30 PM on Carters Valley Road in Mosheim.
One of the homeowners arrived at their home and as they pulled into the driveway, saw the vehicle on fire. The victim ran inside the home to inform her husband of the fire, who was showering at that time.
Mosheim Fire Department and United Fire and Rescue arrived at the scene and put out the fire. According to the report, the husband had just finished up his paper route before getting in the shower and stated his Honda Civic had been shut off before entering the home.
The cause of the fire has not been determined as of yesterday. The vehicle damage is valued at $22,000. The homeowners were advised to call their insurance company in regards to the next steps.
