A vehicle was destroyed by fire Thursday afternoon in the 5600 block of East Andrew Johnson Highway.
Units from the Tusculum Volunteer Fire Department responded to the 5:16 pm call in the College Hills area near Zoomers. The driver, having noticed issues with the SUV, pulled to the side of the highway and exited the vehicle. The vehicle was engulfed in flames as firefighters arrived.
Tusculum Police also responded to the scene and told Radio Greeneville News this morning the vehicle was a 2017 KIA Sorento. No injuries were reported. The road in that area was closed for about an hour.
