A vehicle crashed into the bedroom window of a building Saturday night and the driver was allegedly found to have been driving under the influence.
According to the report, officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on the 1500 block of Kiser Boulevard. Upon arrival a vehicle was found wrecked into the front of an apartment. The driver, David N. King of Greeneville, stated he was unsure of what happened.
The report states there were skid marks that were coming from a stop sign on Industrial Road, which led straight to the grass area in front of the apartment. A boulder was reportedly run over and displaced. The impact of the vehicle crashing caused a downstairs apartment window to break, along with the wall getting damaged.
King reportedly performed poorly on sobriety tests. He was arrested for driving under the influence, reckless endangerment, driving while license is suspended second offense, financial responsibility law, and more. He was first transported to Greeneville East Community Hospital for a blood draw and then taken to the Greene County Detention Center.
