Vandalism was reported at a Greene County business Friday.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to DM Woodworks on Lonesome Pine Trail. The owner said when he came to his shop Friday afternoon, he noticed there was a broken window and graffiti on the front door. There was also a crude message on the exterior whiteboard.
Inside the office, boxes had been rummaged through and several other windows had been broken around the building. A fire extinguisher was found in a back field, and a marking outside a window was consistent with the extinguisher. There was also a rock found on a bench top that was apparently thrown through a window. A sliding glass door had been opened with a screwdriver, which was laying outside the door.
There were several items laying in the parking lot that were previously inside the building. It was unknown at the time of the report if any items were taken from the building.
The victim named a possible suspect in the report. Damage was estimated at $8,200.
