Greene County Mayor Kevin Morrison officially declared 2nd District Greene County School Board member Tom Cobble’s seat vacant following his resignation letter.
Cobble resigned on April 12th and stated it was due to his declining health and inability to continue fulfilling his duties. On Monday it was also confirmed that Cobble is under investigation as of last week. Attorney Roger Woolsey was not able to comment on the matter, as it’s an open investigation but stated as soon as they are able to give any information that more details will be released.
Mayor Morrison stated during the meeting that all applicants who are interested should submit a resume or a letter of qualification and desire to serve to the Mayor’s office by noon on May 9th.
