Advanced research and tried-and-true techniques will be on display throughout the year and across the state during the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture in-person and online field days in 2024. Most events are hosted at UT AgResearch and Education Centers throughout the state and feature UTIA researchers and Extension specialists as expert speakers.

This year’s schedule features the return of Milan No-Till Field Day on July 25, which now alternates years with the Summer Celebration in Jackson. This will be the 33rd year for the field day promoting no-till farming to areas prone to erosion and soil loss. It is one of the largest in the nation devoted to conservation tillage.

Field days begin in February with three horse management events in East, West and Middle Tennessee locations. Tennessee Turf Tuesdays will be held online every Tuesday, starting April 2, and more information may be found at tiny.utk.edu/TurfTuesday.

The UT AgResearch system, a unit within the UT Institute of Agriculture, supports the land-grant mission and includes 10 UT AgResearch and Education Centers that combined have more than 39,000 acres across Tennessee. Faculty and students conduct more than 1,000 field trials each year. Thousands of farmers, producers, researchers and members of the public attend field days.
