The United States Department of Agriculture and the Farm Service Agency are offering agricultural producers the chance to apply for two new programs for revenue losses related to natural disasters or the COVID-19 pandemic.
Producers will be eligible for assistance through Phase Two of the Emergency Relief Program if they experienced revenue losses from eligible natural disasters. Those who received assistance from Phase One of the ERP will not be eligible.
Eligibility for the Pandemic Assistance Revenue Program is for producers who experienced revenue losses during calendar year 2020. Previous assistance was targeted at price loss or lack of market access instead of overall revenue losses.
Applications for both programs are due by June 2 at the Greene County USDA Service Center at 214 North College Street. Call 638-4771 for information or to make an appointment.
