UPDATE: Mr. Bowen has been located in Georgia and is doing good at this time.
A Silver Alert that was issued for a man earlier this week remains active.
A deputy with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to the Kingsport Highway home of 73-year-old Edwin Bowen on Monday afternoon following a report that he had not been seen since Thursday, April 13.
The owner of the property said he spoke with Bowen on Tuesday, April 11. When he came back to the property on Friday, April 14, Bowen’s vehicle was gone.
According to information from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Bowen has a medical conditon that may impair his ability to return safely without assistance.
