A two-year-old was hit by a vehicle Tuesday evening on Tusculum Boulevard near East Grove Street.
According to a press release from the Greeneville Police Department, GPD responded to the crash about 6:45 PM and found that a 2003 Lexus struck a two-year-old boy who was walking in the crosswalk with his mother. The child was transported to the Niswonger Children’s Hospital in Johnson City for evaluation by EMS.
The driver was reportedly cited for failure to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk. As of this Wednesday morning, the child was listed in stable condition at the Niswonger Children’s Hospital, according to Captain Tim Davis.
